Library Media Center

The mission of the Matignon High School Library Media Center is to teach the skills necessary for the effective use of ideas and information, to support the curriculum with a rich variety of materials, and to continue to motivate life-long learners to meet today’s challenges.

Building on the STREAM initiative at Matignon High School, the Library Media Center also  includes a Makerspace. The Maker Monday library program provides students with opportunities to experiment with a different STREAM activity each week incorporating creativity, critical thinking, and building while also offering fun and down time for our students after classes.

Maker Mondays offers a wide range of projects from origami to circuits to using various free open source computer programs.  Several creative areas are always available in the Makerspace. Popular activities are building with Keva maple planks, taking a brief break at the Mandala coloring station and designing a new vehicle at the Lego Creation Station.

Please explore the Library Media Center pages for resources, references and helpful tools.
