Matignon High School has announced Jim Weymouth as its next Director of Athletics.

During his tenure, Weymouth served in many capacities including teacher, special education team leader, middle school associate principal, director of health education and physical education, high school associate principal, and athletic director.
“I'm extremely happy and honored to be chosen as the new Director of Athletics at Matignon High School. I look forward to working with the student-athletes, coaches, teaching staff, and school administration, as well as the entire Matignon community,” said Weymouth.
Weymouth was an accomplished boys’ basketball coach over a 23 year span, including 15 years as head boys’ varsity coach at Methuen High School. As an AD, Weymouth has served the MIAA for the past 8 years on the basketball committee. His Ranger teams have had great success in the competitive Merrimack Valley Conference and he began the girls’ hockey program as well as boys’ and girls’ lacrosse. In 2014, Weymouth received the President's Award of Merit by the Massachusetts Secondary Schools Athletic Director Association (MSSADA). In April 2016, Weymouth was inducted into the Methuen High School Hall of Fame for his contributions as coach and athletic director.
“Matignon High School has a legendary history of athletic success and we are pleased to have an athletic administrator with Jim’s experience, stature and commitment to our student-athletes to continue in that tradition,” said Tim Welsh, Headmaster of Matignon High School.
