My Matignon

I found Matignon to be a very welcoming community.  I was able to excel academically while I grew and challenged myself in my music endeavors.  Matignon offered me classes such as Advanced Placement Biology, Advanced Psychology and Human Anatomy and Physiology that prepared me for college, where I am pursuing a nursing major.  My senior year I took Advanced Placement English, Advanced Placement Latin and Advanced Placement United States History.  The skills I learned at Matignon, both inside and outside of the classroom, helped me to succeed in my first years at college.

One of my passions is playing the piano.  At Matignon, I had the opportunity to strength my skills by playing at school masses and events.  My sister Caroline graduated from Matignon in 2011 and went on to complete her degree at Bentley University.  While she was at Matignon, I even got to play at Matignon's events when I was still in middle school.

Over the summer before my senior year, Matignon High School gave me the opportunity to attend the Boston College Experience Program at Boston College.  Attending this Program helped prepare me for college more than I thought possible.  We got to take college classes and experience how a professor teachers differently from a high school teacher.  I felt more prepared to excel academically at college after participating in this program.  We were also able to attend college admissions seminars, which eased the application process my senior year.  The transition to college was easier largely due to the experience I had at this program.
